My Approach
Direct. Practical. Change-Focused
Let’s be honest: I’m not the therapist who will just sit back and nod while you explain why things are hard. You already know things are hard. You’re here because you want your life back.
Therapy with me is about movement. Sometimes you’ll leave sessions feeling relieved, hopeful, and clear about what to do next. Other times, you might leave uncomfortable—because we discover the ways OCD (and sometimes you) are keeping you stuck. Both are part of real change.
I care deeply about my clients. Caring means being honest, transparent, and willing to say the hard things when it matters. You are capable of far more than OCD wants you to believe. This is not “just talk about it” therapy.
This is learn what’s happening, learn what to do, and practice doing it—again and again—until your life gets bigger.
Therapy is a partnership. You get to ask questions, push back, and tell me when something isn’t working. My job is to bring clarity, strategy, and experience so you’re not trying to figure this out alone.
Why I Love Working With OCD
I love this work because helping people create real, measurable change in their lives gives me a sense of purpose. I believe effort is not optional. You don’t discover how good your life can be by waiting to feel ready—you discover it by showing up and doing the work, even when it’s uncomfortable. I’ve seen what happens when people step away from responsibility: life gets smaller, fear gets louder, and opportunities quietly disappear. Work also builds character—it teaches discipline, courage, and follow-through, especially when fear or self-doubt show up.
For many people with anxiety or OCD, life gets put on hold until they feel “ready.” I don’t believe readiness comes first—I believe readiness comes from action. At the end of my career, I want to know my work mattered because it helped people create real, lasting change in their lives. I love the quote “The world needs people who will plunge themselves into the darkness to find light for others.”
